Meet the Real Happy Boy
There was a real Happy Boy…he was on the brink of death—skin and bones, fleas, broken leg, when Maureen rescued him. The vet said don’t bother, but Maureen fed him by hand…eventually he recovered and become the beloved family pet. He had a great personality so they named him Happy Boy. Together they started Happy Boy in 2005, just selling locally. Demand grew. They now ship their homemade dog food to anywhere in the United States.
Shelly’s and Jill’s mother, Maureen, was a dedicated family cook and a dog lover. She took in stray dogs, some on the brink of death, and nursed them back to health with love and her special, homemade dog food meals. Maureen died in 2007. Jill, now a certified Veterinary Technician and Certified Canine Nutritionist, and her sister a chef and nutritionist decided to carry on their mother’s tradition.
